| So you can dance, now you have to look the part! In this workshop, The Cupcake Cabaret's makeup maven, Holly De Lite, will show how to apply basic glamour stage makeup in either burlesque or belly dance style! From pin-up perfect pouts to exotic Cleopatra eyes she'll demonstrate all the tricks and tips to making your face glow onstage. Plus she'll show you our favorite products and tools and how to use them. |

Professional hair artist, Kalia Motley (also known as Bang Bang Von Loola) will demonstrate the basics of hair setting for maximum volume as well as maximum hold throughout a show. Our burlesque beauties will be treated to her finger waves and victory roll techniques while our belly dance divas will see fabulous updos that can be accented with braided hair extensions, flowers and more! |
| Lastly students will enjoy a fabulous costume show and tell from Julia DiVerdi's (Lola Begonia's) own closet of sparkle! She'll have all sorts of costumes for you to examine up close as well as tips to basic costume construction - whether through actual sewing, gluing, or just putting ready made items together. And she'll let you in on her secrets to where to find the best items for either belly dance or burlesque basics and embellishment. |

What to Bring: This is a demonstration workshop so all you have to bring is yourself and a pen and paper if you like to take notes. Handouts will be provided and you'll leave with plenty of ideas and resources!
Please Note: This workshop is REQUIRED if you are planning on performing at the recital on June 30th AND have never performed at one of our recitals before! |
